Marvel Universe References:

In the opening montage we see several documents and newspaper clippings. The names Nick Fury and Rick Jones flash on the screen, as does the logo for Stark Industries.

General Ross tells Emil that in World War Two there was a super soldier program, referred to as bio-tech force enhancement. The project was abandoned for unknown reasons but Ross revived it. Banner was helping with this but didn’t realize it.

In another scene Ross takes some old super soldier serum out of cold storage. On the storage unit it says Weapon Plus Program, Dr. Reinstein. It also as a Stark Logo on it.

Also of note is Jack McGee appears as a college journalist. This was a reporter character from the TV series. He is onscreen with Jim Wilson, who in the comics was a friend of the Hulk.
